Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong understanding of dental practices. This role involves working closely with patients to provide high-quality dental hygiene services, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for performing assessments, cleaning teeth, and educating patients on oral health. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs Perform dental cleanings and treatments using appropriate techniques and tools Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits Assist in the documentation of patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Utilize EMR systems for accurate record-keeping and documentation review Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in a four-handed dentistry environment Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques Stay updated on dental terminology, medical terminology, and coding practices relevant to the field Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures as needed Requirements Proven experience in a dental clinic or office setting is preferred Familiarity with Open Dental software is a plus Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is advantageous Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dental health Ability to perform medical imaging as required by procedures Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on their oral health Strong attention to detail in patient care and assessment processes Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of medical records and patient information Join our team as a Dental Hygienist where you can make a positive impact on patients' lives while advancing your career in a supportive environment.
