Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental concerns. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Assist during dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Follow infection prevention protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of dental equipment. Qualifications Valid license or certification as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health. Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling dental equipment and medical imaging devices. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance management. Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration; ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times. $45.11 - $54.32 per hour Expected hours: 21.0 - 24.0 per week
