Office Hours:

Sunday 10:30am-6:30pm, Monday and Wendesday 9:30am -6pm, Thursday 7:30am-3pm Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to empower them in maintaining healthy smiles. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging technology while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Assist the dentist during various procedures through chairside assisting, including preparing instruments and managing dental equipment efficiently. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Follow strict infection prevention protocols using aseptic techniques to uphold healthcare infection control standards across all clinical activities. Monitor and operate dental equipment safely, adhering to infection control policies and manufacturer guidelines. Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care documentation review and medical coding as needed. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting with a strong focus on patient care and education. Proficiency in using EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing electronic health records efficiently. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques essential for accurate patient assessment. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is preferred to effectively serve younger patients with specialized needs. Demonstrated ability to perform four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize clinical efficiency and patient comfort. Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, explaining treatment plans clearly while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
