North Charlottesville patient-centric privately owned dental practice dedicated to providing top-quality dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment is seeking employment for a registered dental hygienist. The office is updating and has been utilizing modern technology such as digital x-rays and scanning. We are committed to improving the oral health and overall well-being of our patients. Our team of skilled professionals takes pride in delivering exceptional dental services, and we are currently seeking a motivated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist at Rivanna Dental Care you will play a vital role in maintaining our patients' oral health and contributing to their overall well-being. You will work closely with our dentist and dental assistants to provide comprehensive dental care while adhering to the highest standards of professionalism and patient care. Our hygienist will have the ability to customize patient care supplies including instrument kits and cavitron tips. The hygienist will have 60 minutes for recare appointments, 90 minutes for new patients, and up to the hygienist's discretion on time needed for scaling and root planing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform dental cleanings, scaling and root planning. Perform periodontal screenings. Take and develop dental X-rays and intra-oral images, as required. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and disease prevention. Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants. Maintain accurate patient records. Adhere to infection control and sterilization procedures.

Qualifications:

Valid Dental Hygienist license in Virginia. CPR certification. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work as part of a collaborative team. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Proficiency in dental software and digital imaging systems is a plus.
