Job Description
•If you are licensed in another state, we will help you become licensed in Virginia• Base comp + variable comp position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist, with a patient centered focus, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A base hourly rate with a variable compensation component is available. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Assess patients' oral health and provide education on proper oral hygiene practices. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize dental software systems such as Denticon for patient management and record keeping. Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient needs. Assist in the management of the dental office environment, ensuring cleanliness and organization. Conduct documentation reviews to ensure all patient information is up-to-date and accurate. Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Experience A valid Dental Hygienist license is required. Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, particularly with pediatric patients. Familiarity with medical coding and documentation review processes is advantageous. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental health is essential. Experience with dental assisting tasks is a plus, enhancing overall patient care capabilities.
