This isn't just about filling a Friday—we're hoping to find someone who wants to become a long-term part of our dental family. Competitive pay is based on experience Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy teeth and gums Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations for optimal dental health Assist during dental procedures with chairside assisting, managing dental instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with infection prevention protocols Review and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings preferred Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for charting and documentation Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care Skilled in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while adhering to safety protocols Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical records management for documentation review and medical coding Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for working with children is essential Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care in a vibrant environment.
