This role offers an excellent opportunity for motivated professionals to provide exceptional patient care while working in a supportive and modern environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental hygiene, with a focus on delivering comprehensive oral health services, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and documentation. A sign-on bonus is available to qualified applicants who demonstrate enthusiasm and expertise in dental hygiene practices. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs. Assist with dental procedures by providing chairside support using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment plans in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology standards. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to ensure seamless patient care within general dentistry and pediatric dentistry specialties. Uphold infection control standards through proper sterilization, disinfection, and adherence to aseptic techniques. Stay informed about current trends in dental hygiene, anatomy knowledge, medical coding, and documentation review processes. Requirements Proven experience in dental office settings, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry environments preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control protocols, and anatomy relevant to oral health. Ability to perform comprehensive patient care including vital signs assessment, patient education, and medical records management. Experience with chairside assisting, medical imaging, and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically to patients of all ages. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times. Familiarity with medical coding practices related to dental procedures for accurate billing and documentation review.
