$60-$75 per hour, based on experience and qualificationsSchedule:
Part-time, one day per week Job Purpose We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our team on a part-time basis. The Dental Hygienist provides comprehensive preventive and therapeutic dental care while supporting the dentist in diagnosis, treatment, and patient education. This role includes performing dental cleanings, administering local anesthetics, providing implant maintenance, assisting with treatment planning, and delivering personalized patient education to promote long-term oral health. Essential Functions Perform scaling and prophylaxis. Apply fluoride and perform related preventive procedures. Provide ongoing maintenance care for implant patients. Perform gross debridement on partial patients as needed. Conduct patient consultations and reinforce treatment recommendations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies. Provide post-operative instructions and ensure patients understand their care plan. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records. Follow established infection control and patient safety protocols. Work collaboratively with the dentist and dental team to provide exceptional patient care. Educational Requirements High school education or equivalent. Active Dental Hygienist license required. General Knowledge, Experience, Skills & Abilities Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures, infection control, and patient care protocols. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate patients and discuss treatment recommendations effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Commitment to patient-centered care and achieving positive, long-term oral health outcomes. Strong attention to detail and excellent clinical skills. Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to support both patient care and overall office operations.
