Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering comprehensive dental hygiene services, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, periodontal assessments, and patient education on oral health maintenance Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Open Dental Ensure infection prevention protocols are followed, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of equipment Educate patients on proper dental care practices and post-treatment instructions Skills Proficiency with dental software such as Open Dental Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology Experience with pediatric dentistry and working with children is a plus Skilled in dental equipment operation, X-ray procedures, and medical imaging Excellent communication skills for client interaction and patient education Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Knowledge of infection control practices and healthcare infection prevention standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail Join us at Apex Sleep Dentistry where your expertise will help transform lives through exceptional dental care!
