Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by evaluating vital signs, medical history, and oral health status Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and comfort Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning, documentation review, and medical coding for billing purposes Maintain accurate records of patient care activities within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Ensure a sterile environment by following strict infection control procedures and maintaining proper sterilization of instruments Support pediatric dentistry cases by applying specialized knowledge of pediatrics and dental terminology relevant to young patients Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic setting Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and techniques is advantageous Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including children in pediatrics settings Experience with dental assisting duties, including chairside support during procedures Certification as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state licensing requirements Join us in delivering outstanding dental care that transforms smiles!
