Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, and polishing to promote optimal oral health. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Assist with chairside procedures such as applying sealants and fluoride treatments. Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) using Tracker. Ensure infection prevention measures are strictly followed through aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Manage dental equipment maintenance, sterilization processes, and inventory control to ensure operational efficiency. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in the respective jurisdiction. Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry environments preferred. Proficiency with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and medical records management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, ensuring client comfort and understanding of treatment plans.
