Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately while adhering to safety protocols. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable. Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Monitor vital signs and assess medical histories to ensure patient safety before treatment. Follow strict infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment. Educate patients on dental terminology, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to enhance understanding and compliance. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist within a clinical or dental office environment. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft managing electronic health records. Experience with infection control practices specific to healthcare settings, including maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA regulations. Strong understanding of dental equipment operation, X-ray safety protocols, and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively while demonstrating professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
