Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will be responsible for providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and assisting with various clinical procedures. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to ensure safe and effective treatment. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop dental x-rays (radiographs), ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on proper dental care practices, including oral hygiene instructions and preventive strategies. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Follow infection prevention protocols by adhering to aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and managing healthcare infection control standards. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations. Experience with dental software systems. Dentrix preferred. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health. Proficiency in chairside assisting, including handling dental equipment and performing dental x-ray procedures safely. Familiarity with infection prevention management, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining patient confidentiality. $42.00 - $48.00 per hour
