ForwardDental, a Wisconsin-based dental group, is seeking a Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care to patients across our modern practices. In this patient-focused, team-oriented role, you will perform dental cleanings, periodontal assessments, sealants, fluoride treatments, and patient education while collaborating closely with dentists and clinical staff. Responsibilities Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and prophylaxis Conduct oral health and periodontal assessments, charting, and documentation Take and interpret dental radiographs in accordance with clinical guidelines Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment recommendations Apply sealants and fluoride treatments as prescribed by the dentist Maintain strict infection control and sterilization procedures Collaborate with dentists and clinical team to coordinate patient care plans Accurately document patient records and update electronic health systems Support efficient patient flow and appointment scheduling within the practice Participate in continuing education and training to maintain clinical competencies Required Skills Dental prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance Dental radiography Periodontal charting and assessment Local anesthesia administration (if permitted by state) Sealant and fluoride application Infection control and sterilization Electronic dental records (EDR) documentation Patient education and oral hygiene instruction Instrument sharpening and maintenance Use of ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments
