Join our brand new practice in Oconomowoc! Non-Corporate Father/Son family dental office with brand new technology and equipment! Hours Monday 7-5 Wednesday 8-6 Thursday 7-5 Friday 7-12 Join our 262 Family Dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for every step of their dental journey. We are committed to empowering our hygienists with the tools and support needed to excel and make a positive impact on our community's health. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy smiles. Perform periodontal therapy treatments including scaling and root planing Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental x-rays using advanced equipment like Dentrix Ascend Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding and engagement. Assist with chairside procedures such as dental assisting, medical imaging, and maintaining infection prevention protocols using aseptic techniques. Manage patient records meticulously, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality while documenting treatment details accurately within electronic health records (EHR). Collaborate with dentists and team members to develop personalized care plans for pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, or specialized treatments. Maintain all dental equipment, ensure infection control standards are met, and stay updated on medical terminology, dental terminology, and healthcare infection prevention practices. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding related to dental care. Expertise in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable; experience working with children is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about dental care and treatment options. Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards.
