In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and educate patients on oral health practices. Your expertise will help ensure our patients receive top-quality dental services in a friendly and professional environment. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth and removing plaque and tartar using ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately, ensuring patient safety and comfort Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Assist with chairside procedures such as applying sealants or fluoride treatments while maintaining infection control protocols Maintain detailed and accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive information Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental cleanings and radiography Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings, with proficiency in pediatric dentistry preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental equipment operation Familiarity with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and medical records management Expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, providing clear dental care education Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and medical imaging procedures Join us to make a difference in patients' lives through exceptional dental care!
