Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Lab Technician with experience in working with plaster materials at our Tuscaloosa location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, pouring, and finishing plaster models, molds, or casts as part of the production or diagnostic process.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and mix plaster according to specified ratios and safety standards Pour, form, and trim plaster molds, casts, or models Maintain and clean tools, workspaces, and equipment Accurately follow technical drawings, impressions, or molds provided Ensure the quality and consistency of plaster components produced Document processes and maintain proper labeling and records Assist with inventory of plaster materials and lab supplies Collaborate with technicians, supervisors, or other departments as needed Follow all lab safety and health guidelines, including proper PPE usage

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus Previous experience working with plaster in a lab or production environment Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail Ability to read and interpret technical instructions Good organizational and time-management skills Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a lab setting Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle lifting (up to [X] lbs)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in dental, orthopedic, prosthetics, or art/casting industries Familiarity with additional materials like alginate, silicone, or resin

Work Environment:

Laboratory or workshop setting Exposure to dust, moisture, and loud tools/equipment (PPE provided) Hours are 6:45am-3pm or 8am-5pm This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to enter the dental industry with little to no experience, as training will be provided to the right candidate.
