Job Description

Job Summary We are a privately owned Pediatric Dental and Orthodontics office in Dublin, CA seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team! The Sterilization Technician will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment while ensuring dental and orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly processed and sterilized according to office protocols and applicable infection-control standards. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, works well as part of a team, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and patient safety. Responsibilities Clean, disinfect, package, sterilize, and properly store dental instruments and equipment Operate and maintain sterilization equipment according to manufacturer and office protocols Follow established infection-control and OSHA safety procedures Monitor sterilization cycles and maintain appropriate sterilization records Ensure treatment rooms and sterilization areas remain clean, organized, and properly stocked Prepare instruments and supplies for pediatric dental and orthodontic procedures Assist the clinical team with room turnover and maintaining an efficient workflow Properly handle and dispose of contaminated materials and biohazardous waste Monitor inventory of sterilization supplies and clinical materials Assist dental providers and clinical staff as needed Maintain a professional, positive, and child-friendly environment Follow all office policies and procedures related to patient safety and infection control Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual should have: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment Knowledge of basic dental or orthodontic office equipment, including computers, X-ray equipment, and sterilization equipment Previous sterilization, pediatric dentistry, orthodontic, or healthcare experience is preferred A positive attitude and willingness to learn Dependability, professionalism, and strong teamwork skills Ability to follow infection-control and safety protocols consistently Schedule This position will require working an average of 4 days per week , including: Monday Wednesday Thursday 4th Tuesday of the month 1st & 3rd Friday of the month

•5:00 PM (Tuesday only 9AM

•4PM)

12:00 PM
