RDA/BACK FLOOR SUPERVISOR

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) / Back Floor Supervisor to lead our dental team and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. In this vital role, you will oversee clinical operations on the back floor, supervise dental assisting staff, and maintain a smooth workflow within a fast-paced dental practice. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient management will drive efficiency and uphold our high standards of care. Duties Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the back floor dental team, including dental assistants and hygienists Oversee chairside assisting during various procedures such as general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties Ensure proper use of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and medical records Manage infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures in compliance with HIPAA regulations and OSHA standards Assist in taking vital signs, medical history updates, and medical imaging including X-rays and 3D scans Support the dental receptionist by coordinating patient flow and ensuring timely scheduling of appointments Maintain accurate medical documentation and coding for billing purposes using Epic or similar systems Train and mentor staff on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, dental assisting techniques, and new technology such as digital scanners Monitor compliance with HIPAA privacy rules to protect patient confidentiality at all times Skills Extensive experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Proficiency in chairside assisting across various dental specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners with precision Familiarity with medical terminology, medical coding, and documentation standards for insurance billing Excellent leadership skills to supervise back floor staff effectively while maintaining a positive team environment Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security are upheld at all times Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced dental clinic setting Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering top-tier dental care!
