Job Overview Our unique second-generation private dental practice is seeking an exceptional Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including cosmetic and general dentistry, restorative treatment, crowns, bridges, implants, and veneers. Fabrication of temporaries. Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use according to infection prevention management protocols. Take digital dental X-rays while maintaining strict adherence to dental x-ray safety standards and clinical confidentiality policies. Assist in managing patient records accurately using Dentrix, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques, supporting efficient workflow and patient comfort. Take alginate impressions and pour models in our in-office laboratory. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and answer any questions related to procedures or treatment plans. Requirements Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license with current certification. Proven experience working in a dental office with familiarity in general dentistry. Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix; experience with patient management software is a plus. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, equipment operation, and sterilization procedures aligned with infection control standards. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while following radiation safety guidelines; experience with dental sterilization procedures is essential. Excellent understanding of dental terminology and dental documentation practices. Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices including aseptic technique and clinical confidentiality policies. Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other clinical staff. Ability to maintain high levels of clinical confidentiality while managing sensitive patient information diligently.
