Porcelain Ceramist / Dental Technician•
CDT Required Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Porcelain Ceramist / Dental Technician to join our dental laboratory team. This position is responsible for producing high-quality, natural-looking ceramic restorations while maintaining consistent standards for quality, accuracy, esthetics, and turnaround time. A current Certified Dental Technician (CDT) certification is required for this position.
Essential Duties:
Perform porcelain build-up, contouring, staining, glazing, and final finishing. Fabricate high-quality anterior and posterior crowns, bridges, and implant restorations. Work with zirconia, e.max/lithium disilicate, layered porcelain, and other ceramic materials. Ensure proper anatomy, morphology, shade, texture, contacts, margins, and occlusion. Review prescriptions, models, digital designs, photographs, and doctor instructions. Communicate professionally and effectively with doctors regarding case details, shades, esthetic expectations, technical questions, and case requirements. Perform adjustments and corrections as needed before final quality control. Work closely with Crown & Bridge, Digital, Implant, and Quality Control teams. Maintain daily production goals while consistently meeting laboratory quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on laboratory needs.
Qualifications:
Active Certified Dental Technician (CDT) certification is mandatory. Previous experience as a Porcelain Ceramist or Dental Laboratory Technician . Strong hands-on experience with porcelain layering, staining, glazing, contouring, and shade matching. Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, morphology, occlusion, ceramic materials, and esthetics. Experience working with zirconia, e.max/lithium disilicate, layered porcelain, crowns, bridges, and implant restorations. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality restorations. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with other laboratory departments. Ability to consistently meet production expectations without compromising quality.
