Responsibilities Perform sterilization, decontamination, and reprocessing of dental instruments and equipment using approved sterilization techniques and equipment. Assemble, package, and label sterile instruments following strict aseptic procedures to ensure safety and compliance. Manage inventory levels of sterilized supplies, monitor stock rotation, and reorder supplies as needed to maintain operational readiness. Adhere to infection prevention protocols, including proper handling instruments, to prevent cross-contamination. Assist the dental team with operatory turnover between patients as needed. Follow OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and office infection control policies. Maintain detailed documentation of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and quality control records in accordance with healthcare regulations. Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions immediately. Requirements Ability to operate sterilization machinery safely and efficiently while adhering to strict protocols. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management and documentation accuracy. Infection Control Certification Willingness to learn is essential.
