In this vital role, you will provide flexible support across multiple dental departments, assisting with patient care, clinical procedures, and administrative tasks. Duties Assist dentists with chairside procedures, including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all tools are ready for procedures in accordance with infection prevention management protocols Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical records, taking vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards Support administrative functions by scheduling appointments using patient management software, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate medical documentation Follow strict infection control procedures using aseptic techniques and dental sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize clinical efficiency and enhance patient care experiences Requirements Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is highly preferred Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient information Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and medical imaging techniques including X-ray procedures Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient privacy Strong understanding of infection prevention management and aseptic techniques within a dental environment Ability to perform dental instrument processing and sterilization efficiently while adhering to safety standards Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics when applicable Basic knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and oral health conditions is advantageous Join us as a Dental Floater and be part of a passionate team committed to delivering top-tier dental care! $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
