In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by assisting dentists with complex procedures, managing clinical workflows, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and safety. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental experience. Duties Assist dentists with advanced procedures including prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth clinical operations. Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols. Take high-quality dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to all safety standards and radiation safety guidelines. Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance during procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical documentation for patients requiring medical history updates or medical imaging. Uphold clinical confidentiality policies while delivering compassionate patient care tailored to pediatric and general dentistry needs. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including dental instrument processing, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic technique. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Experience operating dental equipment such as X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and 3D scanners. Familiarity with patient management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record keeping. Expertise in infection control practices aligned with healthcare infection prevention standards to ensure a safe clinical environment. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, providing excellent patient management and care. Knowledge of general dentistry procedures along with specialized fields like prosthodontics and oral surgery to support comprehensive treatment plans.
