Job Overview The Dental Lab Technician will be responsible for creating, fabricating, repairing, and customizing a wide range of dental accessories and prosthetics, including dentures, flippers, retainers, night guards, and orthodontic appliances. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience creating dental accessories, not just general experience working in a dental laboratory. To ensure success in this role, you should have extensive knowledge of dental materials, techniques, and fabrication processes while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship, safety, and precision. The ideal candidate will manage dental cases from start to finish, ensuring that each case meets or exceeds client expectations, with a strong focus on precision in both setup and finishing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Creation and Fabrication of Dental Accessories:

Create flippers, partial and complete dentures, retainers, night guards, and other custom prosthetics Adjust, repair, and reline dentures and other removable appliances Prepare dental models with accuracy Arrange and set teeth for complete and partial dentures Assist in assembling digitally designed dentures Provide custom shading for crowns, dentures, and other prosthetics Trim, polish, and refine prosthetics for optimal fit and appearance Perform bonding & repairs for dental restorations as needed 2.

Technical Consultation and Support:

Serve as the primary point of contact for dental professionals, providing expert advice and technical support. Troubleshoot setup and finishing issues, offering solutions to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality outcomes. Advise clients on best practices for setup processes to ensure optimal clinical outcomes. Guide clients through the setup and finishing processes, ensuring alignment with client specifications. 3.

Case Management:

Oversee the management of dental cases from initiation through to completion, focusing on setup, processing, and final finishing. Ensure all client requirements, particularly in setup and finish, are accurately captured and communicated to the production team. Monitor progress and provide timely updates to clients regarding setup status and finishing stages. Ensure the on-time and accurate delivery of finished products. 4. Coordination with

Collaborate with the production team to address any setup or finishing challenges and special requests. Facilitate smooth communication between clients and the production team to resolve any technical issues. Ensure production timelines are met with high-quality outcomes in the setup and finishing phases of each case. 5.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct thorough quality checks on completed cases, with a focus on the setup and finishing stages, ensuring compliance with specifications and client expectations. Provide actionable feedback to the production team to refine the setup process and finishing techniques. Uphold and enforce high-quality control standards across the setup and finishing procedures. 6.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of all client interactions, issues, resolutions, and technical specifications regarding setup and finishing processes. Prepare regular reports on technical support performance, case progress, and client feedback, focusing on setup and finishing stages. Identify areas for improvement in the setup process and final finishing, providing feedback to enhance overall efficiency and quality.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in creating dental accessories (e.g., dentures, flippers, retainers, night guards, orthodontic appliances) In-depth knowledge of dental materials and fabrication techniques Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Ability to use digital dental technologies and traditional lab equipment Proven experience with setup and finishing processes in the dental field. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to setup and finish.
