Job Description

About Us Webster Family Dentistry has served the Milton and Pensacola communities for over 50 years. We're a established three-doctor practice built on genuine relationships with our patients. We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented dental assistant who wants to be a true asset to the practice. The Role This is a dual-focus position: you'll work chairside supporting our doctors with daily patient care, and you'll own the lab workflow, processing incoming and outgoing cases, managing inventory, and keeping the clinical side of the practice running smoothly. If you take pride in a well-run operatory and can juggle multiple priorities without losing focus, you'll fit right in. What You'll Do Clinical & Chairside Assist the dentist with 4-handed dentistry across a full range of procedures Prepare operatories, select and set up instruments, and ensure smooth patient-to-patient transitions Seat patients, review medical histories, and take X-rays (digital) Provide post-operative and oral hygiene instructions Maintain clean, fully stocked treatment rooms at all times Lab & Sterilization — this is the primary responsibility Process and track all incoming and outgoing lab cases Sterilize and maintain instruments in strict accordance with OSHA and infection control regulations Manage clinical supply inventory and communicate ordering needs proactively Administrative Support Assist with scheduling, patient records, and payment procedures as needed What We're Looking For Dental assisting experience required; EFDA or coronal polishing certification is a strong plus Solid understanding of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization protocols Organized, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Genuinely warm with patients, you understand that a calm, friendly presence matters Team-first attitude; our doctors and hygienists rely on their assistants Comfortable with dental practice management software High school diploma required; dental assisting program graduate preferred X-ray certification required (or ability to obtain quickly) Why Webster Family Dentistry Stable, well-established practice with a loyal patient base Collaborative team environment Opportunity to develop skills in both clinical assisting and lab management Competitive pay commensurate with experience We look forward to meeting you.
