Job Description

Job description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Full or part-time considered. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms for patient procedures. Ability to perform digital impressions Proficient in placing multi surface restorations Ability to create temporary crowns and bridges Experience with a CEREC is preferred but not mandatory Perform medical documentation accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using medical imaging techniques. Record vital signs and update patient medical histories as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups, using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Assist in inventory management of dental supplies and materials. Requirements Knowledge of medical terminology, dental terminology, anatomy, and vital signs is essential. Experience with Dentrix or Eaglesoft software is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Previous experience in a dental assisting role is advantageous but not required; we welcome entry-level candidates willing to learn. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
