We are currently hiring for a hybrid Dental Assistant and Lab Technician in our busy orthodontic office. Orthodontics presents an excellent opportunity for engaging with a new career, with on-the-job training provided. Experience in dental or orthodontic assisting preferred but not required. X-ray certification is a bonus, but not required. Our competitive starting rates are based on experience. We offer a generous three week of paid time off, as well as 7 paid holidays per year available, after 90 days. Primary Duties- On-site training provided : Assist with all clinical orthodontic procedures Set up for clinical procedures Take x-rays, photos, and 3D scans and process results Send digital appliance orders to our outside lab for processing Print 3-D models and appliances, track outside orders Evaluate oral hygiene and provide instructions for improvement Explain procedures to patients and parents Update parents at end of appointment on progress Provide instructions to patients/parents on all types of appliances Clean and disinfect the chair, chairside unit, and light handles Clean, use Ultrasonic, and Sterilize instruments Stock assistant carts, wires, brackets, bands, etc. Clean Lab General Duties Share/rotate light office cleaning.
