Overview We are looking for a records technician to take photos, radiographs and intraoral scans (records) and then help with chair turnover and sterilization between patients. This individual can also have the opportunity to progress into an orthodontic assistant if they wish to do so after mastering records. Our office is looking for someone who is great with children and adults, gives good directions, and shows good empathy. This position can be Part-Time ( 2-3 days ) or Full-time (4 days) per week M-Th - no Fridays. We are a fun team that enjoys working together! Duties Accurately update and maintain electronic medical records using EMR Prepare and sterilize dental instruments according to infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and dental sterilization procedures Assist orthodontists during chairside procedures, including taking vital signs, handling dental instruments, and managing patient comfort throughout treatments Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices while adhering to safety standards for dental x-ray procedures Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry setups to optimize clinical efficiency and ensure high-quality patient care Qualifications Prior experience in a dental clinic setting or healthcare environment is preferred; familiarity with dental assisting roles is highly advantageous Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures including X-ray techniques and infection control protocols Strong understanding of dental equipment operation including sterilizers, X-ray units, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools Excellent communication skills to effectively assist patients and collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment Commitment to maintaining clinical confidentiality policies and adhering to healthcare infection prevention standardsJoin us in delivering outstanding dental care through meticulous record management, sterilization excellence, and compassionate assistance.
