As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for preparing, sterilizing, and maintaining dental instruments and equipment to support safe and efficient patient care. Duties Perform sterilization and decontamination of dental instruments, surgical tools, and medical equipment using approved sterilization techniques and equipment. Assemble, package, and label sterile instruments ensuring proper documentation for traceability. Manage inventory levels of sterilized supplies and dental instruments to ensure availability for daily clinical operations. Follow strict infection prevention protocols including aseptic techniques, hand hygiene, and proper disposal of contaminated materials. Reprocess endoscopes and other specialized medical devices according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards. Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance procedures. Monitor environmental cleanliness in sterilization areas to prevent cross-contamination or infection risks. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure compliance with healthcare infection prevention and control policies. Requirements Proven experience in sterile processing, medical instrument assembly, packaging, and sterilization within a healthcare setting. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures and instrumentation. Familiarity with infection control standards specific to healthcare environments including aseptic technique and surgical instrument handling. Ability to operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and endoscope reprocessors effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and record-keeping. Understanding of healthcare infection prevention practices aligned with industry regulations. Certification or training in sterile processing or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates.
