Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or RDA with expanded functions to join our dynamic dental team. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth clinical operations. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays, including digital imaging such as 3D scanners, while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment plans. Provide chairside assistance by managing dental supplies, handling dental instruments efficiently, and supporting four-handed dentistry practices. Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care to promote optimal outcomes. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while ensuring compliance with healthcare infection control standards. Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient management software utilization, including dental receptionist duties when needed. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with proficiency in clinical assisting within general dentistry environments. Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical documentation practices. Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment. Hands-on experience operating dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other digital imaging tools. Strong understanding of healthcare infection control policies and medical records management aligned with HIPAA standards. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with medical imaging procedures confidently.
