Duties Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Prepare and organize dental equipment, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use Take and develop dental x-rays, including intraoral and extraoral imaging, adhering to safety protocols and radiation safety standards Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration before procedures to assess patient health status Provide thorough dental care patient education, explaining procedures, post-treatment instructions, and oral hygiene practices in an engaging manner Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems while ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality Support infection prevention management by practicing aseptic techniques, sterilizing instruments, and adhering to healthcare infection control standards Experience Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is highly preferred Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is advantageous Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and procedures is a plus Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental care Hands-on experience with dental equipment operation, dental x-ray procedures, and infection control practices Familiarity with EMR/EHR management systems for documentation review and medical coding Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs Join us as an Ephyna if you're passionate about providing outstanding patient care in a supportive environment!
