Harleysville Veterinary Hospital | Harleysville, PA Harleysville Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed/Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to serve as our Lead Dental Technician . This is a hands-on clinical leadership position for a technician who has a strong interest and skill set in veterinary dentistry and wants to take greater responsibility for the quality, consistency, and efficiency of our dental services. Key Responsibilities Serve as the lead technician for dental procedures and dental patient care Perform and oversee dental radiographs, dental charting, scaling, and polishing Prepare patients and equipment for dental procedures Monitor anesthesia and patient vital parameters throughout procedures Ensure appropriate anesthetic monitoring, pain management, recovery, and post-operative care Maintain dental equipment, instruments, supplies, and treatment areas Help maintain standardized dental protocols Ensure dental protocols and safety standards are consistently followed Train and mentor technicians and assistants in dental procedures, radiography, anesthesia, and patient care Identify opportunities to improve dental workflow and efficiency Assist with inventory and ordering of dental supplies Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, CSRs, and clients regarding dental patients Work collaboratively with the Technician Managers and Practice Manager Qualifications Current CVT license/certification required Strong veterinary dentistry and anesthesia experience Proficiency in dental radiography and dental charting Strong anesthetic monitoring and patient assessment skills Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to anesthetic complications Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to teach, mentor, and support other members of the technical team Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care Why Harleysville Veterinary Hospital?
