Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control within the clinic. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe environment for both patients and staff, particularly in pediatric and general dentistry settings. The Sterilization Technician will work closely with dental assistants, hygienists and receptionists to support patient care through effective sterilization processes and adherence to protocols. Duties Perform sterilization of dental instruments and equipment. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines (training will be provided) Document sterilization and dental procedures as needed in dental practice management software. Assist in setting up and turning over treatment rooms, including proper disinfection. Operate medical imaging equipment, including X-ray machines and 3D scanners. Collaborate with dental staff in chairside assisting during procedures, providing support as needed. Monitor vital signs of patients when required, ensuring their comfort and safety during visits. Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for efficient patient record management. Implement infection control measures consistently throughout the clinic to prevent cross-contamination. Stay updated on advancements in sterilization techniques and dental technology, including 3D scanners. Job advancement to dental assistant or front desk is possible. Experience No dental experience required, but some job experience is desired. We want a hard worker who is eager to learn and grow.
