This hands-on position is responsible for fabricating full and partial dentures from start to finish, while supporting the Senior Lab Technician and helping maintain high standards for quality, accuracy, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is an experienced Denture Technician or Dental Lab Technician with strong skills in denture fabrication, waxing, processing, finishing, repairs, and model preparation. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled dental laboratory professional who enjoys hands-on technical work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Job Summary The Dental Laboratory Lead Technician is responsible for performing all major stages of full and partial denture fabrication, including tooth setup, waxing, wire bending, processing, finishing, repairs, and relines. The Lead Technician will also assist the Senior Lab Technician as needed, collaborate with laboratory team members, and cross-train in other areas of the dental laboratory. Key Responsibilities Fabricate full and partial dentures from start to finish. Set denture teeth and complete detailed denture wax-ups. Bend wire for removable dental prosthetics. Process, finish, and polish dentures according to laboratory quality standards. Perform denture relines and repairs. Fabricate occlusal rims and custom trays. Trim and pour denture models. Inspect completed dental prosthetics for quality, accuracy, and finish. Maintain established quality and production standards. Follow OSHA protocols and dental laboratory safety procedures. Cross-train in multiple areas of the dental laboratory. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace. Perform various dental laboratory duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience Required High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of dental laboratory experience trimming and pouring denture models and performing waxing and processing duties. Demonstrated experience fabricating full and partial dentures from start to finish. Hands-on experience with denture setup, waxing, processing, finishing, repairs, and relines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented dental laboratory. Preferred Same-day denture experience preferred. Experience with full and partial removable prosthetics. Experience working across multiple areas of a dental laboratory. Previous experience supporting or mentoring other dental laboratory technicians. General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Confident and comfortable working with your hands. Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Mechanical ability and/or artistic ability. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality. Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a dental laboratory team. Highly organized and able to manage multiple laboratory tasks. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Ability to follow detailed laboratory procedures and quality standards. Understanding of OSHA protocols and dental laboratory safety practices. Willingness to cross-train in all areas of the dental laboratory. Positive attitude and professional approach to teamwork.
