Duties:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Perform dental charting and update patient records
• Provide assistance with pediatric dental procedures
• Conduct patient assessments and document medical history

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• X-ray certification required
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
• Proficiency in using Epic for medical records management
• Experience with medical coding preferred
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry techniques and protocols
• Ability to operate CAD/CAM systems for dental restorations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
