Job Overview We are seeking a talented and innovative Digital Designer for our Dental Laboratory to join our dynamic team. Duties Utilize 3D CAD modeling and CAM software to design and develop dental prostheses, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant-supported restorations. Collaborate closely with dental clinicians and laboratory technicians to interpret clinical data and translate it into accurate digital designs. Prepare detailed digital files for fabrication processes, ensuring precision in measurements using tools like micrometers and understanding of anatomy and medical imaging. Oversee the digital workflow from initial concept through final production, including adjustments for esthetics, function, and fit. Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations when handling patient data and medical documentation. Support the fabrication process by providing technical guidance on dental equipment operation, ceramics application, and laboratory techniques. Stay updated on advancements in digital design technology, including CAD/CAM innovations, implantology integration, and new materials for dental prosthetics. Qualifications Proven experience in digital design for dental prosthetics with a strong background in CAD/CAM software applications. Knowledge of removable prosthodontics, full arch dental restoration, implantology, and complete denture fabrication. Familiarity with laboratory techniques involving ceramics, dental fabrication processes, and custom prosthetic fabrication. Ability to interpret medical imaging data and understand complex dental anatomy for precise design work. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology related to dentistry, and patient assessment procedures. Experience with EMR systems is preferred for managing patient records efficiently while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Excellent attention to detail with proficiency in using micrometers for measuring accuracy during design adjustments. Knowledge of infection control standards within a dental laboratory setting is essential. Prior experience working in a dental office environment or laboratory setting is highly desirable.
