Job Description In this essential and dynamic position, you will be responsible for sterilizing, processing, and managing dental instruments and equipment to ensure a sterile environment for every patient. Your attention to detail, adherence to strict protocols, and commitment to infection prevention will contribute directly to the quality of care delivered. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop specialized skills in sterile processing within a fast-paced dental practice. What You'll Do Perform thorough decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of dental instruments, surgical tools, and endoscopes using medical equipment sterilization techniques. Assemble, inspect, and package sterile medical instruments with precision to ensure readiness for clinical procedures. Manage inventory levels of sterilized supplies, monitor stock rotation, and reorder supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency. Follow strict aseptic techniques and infection prevention protocols during all stages of instrument processing and handling. Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and compliance documentation in accordance with infection control policies. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure all instruments meet safety standards before use in patient care. Ensuring treatment rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked Following OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control standards Support clinical staff with room turnover, procedure setup, and timely patient flow. Requirements BLS/CPR certified within the past 2 years Strong communication and patient-service skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Professional, dependable, and compassionate approach to patient care Is organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask Preferred Knowledge of infection control, sterilization, and

OSHA/HIPAA

procedures. Ability to maintain accurate patient records and follow clinical protocols. Dental assisting program or formal dental assisting training. Experience with chairside assisting, impressions, temporary restorations, and instrument sterilization. Familiarity with dental practice-management software, especially Dentrix/Dexis. Proven experience in sterile processing medical instrument assembly, packaging, and sterilization within a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Familiarity with infection prevention management, healthcare infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate sterilization equipment safely and effectively while adhering to strict protocols. Strong organizational skills for inventory management and recordkeeping accuracy.
