A dental office in the Crown Hill neighborhood of Seattle looking for a Dental Assistant with superior customer service skills and an attention to detail. This opportunity is designed to equip motivated individuals with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in the dynamic field of dental assisting. The vision for my office is a place where patients feel as comfortable and have as much fun as possible while going to the dreaded dentist. I'm looking for someone that is personable and engaging while, at the same time, effective as an essential team member. Tuesday through Friday schedule with later starts at the beginning of the week and earlier starts (and ends!) at the end of the week to maximize your weekend. Occasional Mondays as needed. Willing to train the right personality with active WA RDA license! Responsibilities Assist dental professionals during patient examinations and procedures, including chairside support and instrument passing Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly according to infection prevention protocols Manage patient records and medical documentation accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems Take dental X-rays while adhering to radiation safety standards and clinical confidentiality policies Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical history, and providing exceptional patient care and customer service Maintain clinical cleanliness by following infection control procedures, sterilization techniques, and aseptic methods in line with healthcare infection prevention standards Assist with dental equipment setup, including 3D scanners and other advanced imaging tools used in general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics or oral surgery Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Help maintain the office in optimal condition Qualifications Strong interest in healthcare and dentistry with a desire to learn new skills quickly Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with patients and team members Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to clinical confidentiality policies Basic understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental terminology preferred but not required—training will be provided Willingness to learn about dental equipment operation, X-ray safety, infection control practices, and patient management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks accurately, and maintain a high level of attention to detail Prior experience in dental clinic settings or healthcare environments is a plus but not necessary; comprehensive training will be provided for all new hires Most importantly, the ideal candidate would have a positive and flexible attitude with a strong work ethic.
