Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection control standards. Assist dental hygienist with tx, setup, turning over rooms, seating patients and educating pts on all dental oral health Take and develop dental x-rays using digital imaging systems such as Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend, ensuring accurate positioning while maintaining patient safety through proper use of X-ray equipment. Manage patient records and dental documentation securely within Electronic Dental Record (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Monitor vital signs and assist in dental imaging procedures when necessary to support overall patient health assessments. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by adhering to infection prevention management protocols and aseptic techniques. Support patient management activities by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and providing excellent patient care that emphasizes comfort and trust. Skills Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar EMR systems. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, and general dentistry procedures to effectively assist clinicians. Experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection control practices, and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental instruments, and other clinical tools safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry settings.
