In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction for a busy Medicaid office. Your expertise will help transform smiles through effective diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of high-quality dental services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where patient care and clinical excellence are at the forefront of everything we do. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations and medical history reviews, utilizing dental terminology and medical documentation standards. Deliver a wide range of general dentistry services such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and other procedures. Conduct dental extractions, root canal therapy, and oral surgery procedures with precision and aseptic technique. Utilize dental imaging tools and medical imaging technology to diagnose conditions accurately. Apply infection control protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict standards of sterilization and aseptic technique. Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants in four-handed dentistry to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal care delivery. Maintain detailed medical records using dental office management software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health outcomes. Requirements Valid state license to practice dentistry with appropriate credentials for general dentistry practice. Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment with familiarity in dental terminology and medical records management. Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control procedures, and dental fabrication techniques. Experience performing dental extractions, prosthodontics (crowns & bridges), and oral surgery procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds while demonstrating excellent patient care skills. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality. Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and aseptic technique throughout all procedures. Additional skills in pediatric dentistry or experience with pediatric patients are a plus but not required.
