Full-Time Overview:
We are seeking a licensed and experienced Dental Director to lead and oversee the dental program at a well-established health center in Montgomery, Alabama . The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, leadership experience, and a passion for providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, direct, and manage the dental program and services Supervise dental staff and ensure quality of care Examine, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients Perform dental procedures to treat oral diseases and conditions Maintain accurate dental records and documentation Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols Coordinate peer reviews, emergency preparedness, and continuing education Participate in management meetings and represent the dental program in conferences Monitor provider productivity and assist with internal audits
Qualifications:
Graduate of an ADA-accredited dental school Licensed to practice dentistry in the State of Alabama Possess a current Controlled Substance Registration Certificate Minimum of 5 years experience in dental practice (private or employed) Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred Strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills Commitment to team collaboration and community health initiatives
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and speaking Light lifting and general clinical physical activity required
