Job Description

Orthodontic Assistant Locations:
Scottsdale & North Phoenix, AZ Summary of Position Hinton Orthodontics is a private, family-owned orthodontic practice focused on providing high-quality care in a warm, modern, and patient-centered environment. We're looking for an Orthodontic Assistant who is positive, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering an exceptional clinical experience. You'll work closely with Dr. Hinton and our clinical team to provide efficient, high-quality treatment and elevated patient care. Essential Job Functions Build genuine rapport with patients and families to create a warm, professional experience. Educate patients on orthodontic care, hygiene, and procedures. Assist chairside with placing and removing orthodontic appliances. Capture diagnostic records (X-rays, intraoral photos, digital scans). Fabricate retainers and other orthodontic appliances. Maintain accurate patient charts and treatment notes. Keep operatories clean, organized, stocked, and compliant. Stay open to coaching and ongoing clinical training. Support team operations and contribute to a positive, collaborative environment. Perform additional duties deemed necessary in the practice. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of orthodontics, appliances, and standard protocols. Excellent chairside manner with a patient-centered approach. Clear, confident communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Comfortable with Google Workspace and digital systems. Experience with Damon Ultima brackets is preferred. Experience with clear aligners (Spark, Invisalign, etc.) is a strong plus.
