In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental care, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality general dentistry services, including restorative, preventive, and cosmetic procedures, while adhering to all healthcare regulations and maintaining excellent patient relationships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your clinical skills and compassionate approach make a real difference. Duties Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal therapy, extractions, implants, orthodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental histories, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop accurate diagnoses. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate treatment plans and educate patients on oral health practices. Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation in electronic health records systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar platforms. Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow efficiency. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws while managing patient records and sensitive information. Use advanced dental technology including digital X-rays and medical imaging tools to enhance diagnostic accuracy. Provide patient care with empathy and professionalism, addressing concerns and fostering trust through clear communication. Assist in dental fabrication processes such as crown or prosthetic creation when necessary. Stay current with developments in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and other specialties to deliver comprehensive care. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or dental office environment with a strong foundation in general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control standards, and healthcare diagnosis processes. Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), dental implants, orthodontic treatments, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures is desirable. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds while providing exceptional client care. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations along with state healthcare laws related to medical documentation and patient privacy is essential. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry combined with proficiency in medical imaging techniques.
