Job Description

Definition:
The Dentist provides the following dental services for adult and children; cleaning, scaling, extractions, fillings and anterior root canals and other dentistry services according to medical staff practice guidelines. Demonstrates good judgment when a dental problem is beyond the scope of services provided in the clinic.
Reports to:
Dental Director/Chief Medical Officer and Clinic Administrator Qualifications:
1. Graduation from an American Dental Association (ADA) approved dental school. 2. Current valid California License as a dentist and DEA number. 3. One or more years practice of general dentistry in a community clinic setting. 4. Preferably bilingual English/Spanish. 5. Must demonstrate through written and/or oral testing, the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served and has knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. 6. He or she is able to identify and categorize each patient's age specific grouping of needs, such as those for infant, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients.
