Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Dental Director to lead our dental team and oversee the delivery of exceptional oral healthcare services. This pivotal role combines clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high standards of patient care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the smooth operation of the dental practice. As Dental Director, you will inspire a team of dental professionals, implement best practices, and foster a welcoming environment that prioritizes patient satisfaction and clinical excellence. Responsibilities Provide expert clinical oversight across all dental services, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental extractions. Lead and mentor dental staff to uphold the highest standards of patient care, infection control, and aseptic technique. Develop and implement policies aligned with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and proper management of medical records and medical documentation. Oversee patient assessment procedures, diagnosis accuracy, treatment planning, and execution utilizing dental terminology and medical imaging. Manage daily operations of the dental clinic, including scheduling, resource allocation, and maintaining compliance with OSHA standards. Ensure all dental procedures adhere to established protocols for infection control and sterilization processes. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix to document treatments accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with administrative staff to optimize patient flow, improve service delivery, and enhance overall patient experience. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques to continually elevate clinical quality. Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional development, and continuous learning. Experience 2+ years of experience., Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong background in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, or related specialties. Prior leadership experience as a Dental Director or senior clinical manager preferred; demonstrated ability to oversee clinical teams effectively. Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, and medical imaging techniques. Proficiency in using practice management software such as Epic (for electronic health records), Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and scheduling purposes. Familiarity with infection control protocols, sterilization procedures, root canal therapy (endodontics), dental fabrication techniques, and medical records management. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements for safeguarding patient information. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on treatment options clearly and compassionately. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of clinical operations.
