Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using medical imaging and dental terminology. Deliver high-quality general dentistry services such as fillings, crowns, root canal therapy, dental extractions, and prosthodontics. Conduct oral surgery procedures with precision and aseptic technique to ensure patient safety and comfort. Utilize dental fabrication techniques for crowns, bridges, and other restorations while maintaining meticulous medical records. Apply infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations diligently to protect patient privacy and ensure a sterile environment. Collaborate with the dental team in providing pediatric dentistry services when necessary, demonstrating expertise in pediatrics and related medical terminology. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and treatment options to promote long-term wellness. Maintain detailed documentation of patient care using electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Stay current with advances in dentistry by participating in ongoing training related to endodontics, periodontics, and other specialties as needed. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or dental office environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Demonstrated proficiency with dental software platforms such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing processes. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques. Prior experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontics procedures, and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
