About Us:
Our pediatric dental practice is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality dental care to children in a friendly and welcoming environment. We are looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our team and help ensure smooth operations at the front desk while delivering excellent service to patients and families.
Position Overview:
The Scheduling Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining the efficiency of the office by managing the schedule, coordinating patient appointments, and ensuring positive communication with families. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a team-centered pediatric environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and families with professionalism and warmth Manage patient scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups Verify and update patient records in Dentrix/Dentrix Ascend Coordinate treatment appointments to maximize efficiency for both patients and providers Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding daily and upcoming schedules Assist with insurance verification and patient billing inquiries, as needed Provide support in maintaining a positive, kid-friendly atmosphere
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a dental scheduling coordinator, treatment coordinator, or administrative team member in a dental office preferred Proficiency in Dentrix and/or Dentrix Ascend required Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) license is a strong advantage but not required
