Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Founding Dentist to lead the development and growth of our brand new dental practice. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape a patient-centered, innovative dental environment from the ground up. As the founding member of our dental team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional clinical care, establishing operational standards, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for patients and staff alike. Your expertise will drive the success of our practice, setting the foundation for long-term excellence in oral health care. Duties Provide comprehensive dental services including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental extractions with precision and compassion. Lead patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning utilizing advanced medical documentation and dental terminology. Perform procedures such as root canal therapy, dental fabrication, and infection control measures following aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations. Utilize practice management software like Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix to schedule appointments, document medical records, and ensure seamless patient flow. Collaborate with team members on four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Maintain strict adherence to state healthcare regulations and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote long-term wellness. Qualifications Valid state dental license with licensure in good standing; experience as a practicing dentist preferred. Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Extensive knowledge of medical imaging, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis related to dentistry. Demonstrated expertise in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics, and dental fabrication techniques. Strong understanding of infection control standards including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and develop effective treatment plans. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and state healthcare regulations governing medical records and documentation. Experience in a dental clinic or office setting with a focus on general dentistry or specialized procedures is highly desirable.
