Job Summary/Basic Functions Responsibilities for this position will center on learner-centered pre-doctoral level didactic, preclinical and clinical instruction in prosthodontics. Applicants should possess the skills and knowledge to provide clinical coverage in all aspects of prosthodontics and general dentistry. Experience with the use and application of digital dentistry, as well as implant restorations and conventional fixed and removable prosthodontics is highly desired. The dentist will work collaboratively within all disciplines of the department and other departments of the LSUHSC School of Dentistry. The applicant will be able to participate in the faculty dental practice. The position's requirements include a DDS or DMD degree or foreign equivalent. A certificate in Prosthodontics is preferable. Applicants must be highly skilled in operative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics and implant restorations. The applicant must also be skilled at interdisciplinary treatment planning. A strong knowledge of the use and application of digital dentistry and high-level esthetic dentistry is desired. The dentist will work collaboratively within all disciplines of the department and other departments of the LSUHSC School of Dentistry.
